The RTA Internship Program helps match fourth year RTA students with media companies or projects. The companies design internship position to fit their needs and the RTA students gain valuable industry insight and experience in a professional atmosphere.

The placements are full time positions for a minimum of six weeks and participating students will earn a full academic credit for their work (students must be registered in BDC 820 Internship). Internships take place when the students have no other academic responsibilities. This way, over the six weeks, the students get a richer experience and their employer/mentors get a totally dedicated and focused intern. Students this year will be interning at CBC, CTV, Global, Rogers, MTV US, NBC/Universal (and other broadcasters), advertising companies, independent production companies, a law firm, a travel magazine, radio stations, new media companies, animation houses, recording studios, post production houses, American Idol in Los Angeles, the Letterman Show in New York and at a radio station in Malawi, Africa.
